Currently listening and loving it!

I've had a hard time finding fantasy books I can focus on (hard to do with a 7 year old, 7 month old, and another on the way and starting up my own business) but it has been effortless with this book, so far. Gwynne's writing is just so delightful!

I hated Riv in the last book, but her first chapter was AMAZING!

Still waiting for this one to get weird.

I'm pretty much just pretending like I understand all of this.

This just keeps getting better and better and better.

Really enjoying this one, so far!

I’m getting some very strong Sons of Anarchy vibes here, and I’m loving it!!!

This is the first fantasy book I’ve enjoyed in a VERY long time!

Starting this one due to the review from the Book Geeks Unc podcast making it sound so good!

There’s something fishy about this case!

Not bad, so far. Not bad at all.

All that bloodshed!! So epic.

I just found out my wife is pregnant! So I hunted this book down so I can widen my parenting knowledge!

This ending is making up for the first 25% of this book! This is nuts!!!

Not sure how much longer I can bear this lol. The plots are simple, the characters are 2-dimensional, and the writing is about what you’d expect from bad 60’s fantasy.

With the new murder and this new development, this one is *finally* getting good! I was getting worried I wouldn’t enjoy this series past the last book.

I’m only 15 pages in, and I know this was written FOREVER ago, but I sure hope the writing gets better soon. It’s not *bad*, it’s just that it’s suffering from the classic characters-telling-each-other-things-they-each-already-know-so-the-author-can-tell-you-things-you-don’t-know syndrome.

Even though I love just about every aspect of this magic system, I think Path might be my favorite. So far it’s the most interesting one to me.

I have some serious ADD with my books right now lol. So adding this to my “currently listening to” pile haha. This is like Godsgrave, but MUCH better. I need to try more of Lawrence’s books, because I’m really enjoying this series of his!
