Ok, so possible spoilers but here are my theories:
- it’s Sophia. She had a drug pack fall out day 1. She’s helping whoever is doing this.
- her dad’s not dead. He’s in on it.
- don’t trust the dean
- Lisette isn’t bad (goes snape vibes. Misdirection and actually is trying to help)

I'm liking this one better than the first.

DNF at 48%. I just can't. I can't go on.

Not as funny as the first one but still getting through it quickly.

Should I DNF? Does this get better? I don't even know if anything important actually happened between 32-48%.

We're being "told" everything rather than being shown. What is this beginning? Not fully invested yet.

Enjoying the alchemy/magic system. World building doesn't hit as hard as we lost a lot of backstory.

DNF @ 46% I can't believe this is almost halfway through the book and I don't feel like anything happened, nor do I feel like the plot is developed. It has such an interesting premise but the execution is not what my mood reader tendencies want to read at this very moment.
It hurts to DNF, but it reads too young for me. This is definitely for young YA, like just entering YA. 13 years old wanting a romantasy.

I swear, if they use "Honey pot" one more time...........

Wait, I usually like Jake Bordeaux as a narrator...but this spicy scene was not it. 😣
