I've picked this book up and put it back down so many times now but I just don't like it. It reads like a memoir written for a chronically online YA audience and I just don't really care about the life journey of the author? I hoped these would be actual essays about sapphic pop culture but it's not :(

I swear to God if this turns out to be a war book I'm going to be so disappointed...

I have a feeling this is going to be a new favourite. Bonus points for the audiobook, the narration is fantastic

I have never before willingly annotated a book, but boi am I taking notes. I love that my ereader allows me to mark passages and take notes, otherwise I would have tried to find a physical copy in the buttf*ck middle of nowhere, Denmark 🙃

I loooove the opening chapter

Na het lezen van de proloog moest ik het boek al even neerleggen, want ik was boos en verdrietig. Vooral met de nieuwe discussie over ongedocumenteerden in mn achterhoofd, denk ik dat dat nog wel vaker gaat gebeuren 🥲

It's been a while since I've read literary fiction, this poetic, lyrical writing feels a bit unusual, but I'm glad to be back :)

Repeating this question as always: do people réally think about sex this much? I'm 1 chapter in and there have been more pages where sex(ual desire) is mentioned than not...

God I love this world...

Wow.... It started as a cute and cosy story where the romance has you kicking your feet in the air while reading, ya know? But now it's become a lot more steamy :o Really enjoying it so far

Still don't love fantasy books about wars but the story is good

I like how it's narrated a lot, but I'm not sure how I like the story so far.. we'll see
