Beautiful

So far, AMAZING! I don't know why I dnf this 3 years ago? I thought it was hard to read, I thought there are many words I don't understand. Seems silly because it is written in my first language. But turns out I'm just out of practice in reading Indonesian as formal language. And after reading a few books I'm more in tune with the language Pram uses because there are a few rather archaic words he likes to use.

Quite enlightening even though some parts can get pretty elementary (There are step by step instruction on what to look for when you open a book). But some of the points are really good, like how to pay attention to the words the author uses, how to separate the skeleton from the meat of the book. Further along in the book it will have specific instructions on different types of books.

Currently reading such a heavy book and this is my side read. I read the first book then watched the show. Never got around to read the rest of the series but i bought the box set already so im reading them. Shook by my main read this week that ASOIAF is really like dr seuss compared to it

Every other chapter women and or underaged girls gets raped idk how i'm going to process this. Is this an allegory for our motherland this is so hard i really want to DNF but i want to know how it goes and how it ends therefore i'm soldiering on.

It's a very engrossing book, and my only regret is I didn't read it sooner. This book probably sealed Steinbeck as America's answer to Dickens. Maybe?

Solving chess puzzles one at a time. Wish I could finish this quickly so I can read the other Fischer book.

I thought this was going to be a funny book... couldn't be more wrong. It is very well written though and would've enjoyed it more if I had the right state of mind when I read it. Though it's a short read, I couldn't really go through with it quickly because somehow images presented through the narration is nauseating to me. It's not at all a beautiful book, though it is beautifully written.
