Not even half way through and this book is a genuine gold mine. I can already tell I'm going to recommend this book to everyone.

I am happy to report that stuff finally happened. I'm interested to see what's next. Took me about 1/3 into the book before that happened though.

So far it's just politics and dialogue. Dialogue about politics. Someone please tell me it gets better.

Reading this on a recommendation from an English teacher friend. Not usually my type of book, but we'll see how it goes!

Can't put it down!

Having a hard time finishing this one. Loved The War of the Worlds and The Time Machine. Perhaps there's a reason this one is not as well-known.

I enjoyed "The Crystal Egg" and "The Star" but I did not like "The Story of the Stone Age" because of how he writes about the female character. Her only character flaw is that she is a woman (therefore she can't be brave, clever, or think as clearly) But maybe I should have expected it from a writer from 1890-something. Here's to hoping the rest of the stories are better.
