Didn't realize this was YA before I started reading (which is fine) but the 90s setting is executed rather poorly and if you're going to use French in your book, the least you could do is have an actual French speaker double check your spellings (unless the mistakes are intentional)

This book is a mess but it's an entertaining mess so I guess that's fine?
