This years mystery Dickens revealed

The Body-Snatcher completed.

Finished Jekyll and Hyde. Ready for next weeks video lecture. Will read the remaining short stories intermittently to finish the book.

October is scary book month. The greatest scary book is of course Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein but the Hardcore Literature Book Club is reading Dr. Jekyll an Mr Hyde this week I guess because it is so short (78 pages). After that book will be Jane Austen’s Emma and then a Dickens book to finish the year. Which Dickens book will be announced next week or the week after.

Backman. Wrote A man called Ove. Wrote the Friends. This is one of the greatest living authors. Here’s a book I’ll read in an hour although I’m not trying to catch up to Janice’s books read count. Thats impossible. Just something to read at Sansho Sushi.

This book now begins go get really really good!

I’ll spend over 8 hours reading this as I listen to the LibriVox audiobook. I’ll note the character names but not write in the book as I’m giving this copy to my 11 year old niece, Peyton, at the hockey game on Tuesday.

Finished Part 3!
Will finish Careless people today or tomorrow and then listen to Anne of Green Gables (8+) hours over the weekend before starting Part 4 on Monday. Will drop off Romeo and Juliet to Lucky tomorrow and propose reading it after Part 4. Seems like I’m reading 20 pages a day but it is much better to read no more than 10 pages at a time (either once or twice a day or once every few days).

I’ll finish part 3 tonight or more likely tomorrow

Almost caught up to Lucky.
I will finish Part 3 by this weekend if I read an hour a day (20 pages) but this book is better taken in smaller chunks. Loved levin mowing the lawn with his scythe for example. Excellent imagery and simultaneous character development. A man of the people!

Yeah ok. So I’m reading this for the third time. I’m going to re-read the first 12 books in the Harry Hole series and then read the 13th which I bought but forgot to read probably because I have it in Norwegian and English.
