The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power
Just listened to an interesting series of stories on Planet Money that got me curious about how the oil industry works.

One Second After
So far best EMP apocalypse book of the 3 I've read recently. Not nearly so dark and paranoid as preppers inspired book was. Didn't cast everyone who's not a survivalist as evil.

When the Power is Gone (A Powerless World #1)
Kind of cool post-apocalyptic novel aimed at preppers or wannabes. Writing is not great, but is serviceable. A lot of details on preparing for whatever. Not a prepper myself but enjoyed the technical details.

Behold, Darkness and Sorrow (Seven Cows, Ugly and Gaunt #1)
A Christian post-apocalyptic novel. Hoping it will be fun, though perhaps not in the way the author intended. Also how does a Christian justify letting others starve and die in such a setting?
