Not loving it... 🫤 WAY too many details. Takes away from the story and I'm skipping through some of it

I'm about to throw this book away. I'm not enjoying it at all

This is not a story. This is a collection of mental ramblings. And it's supposed to be a letter to his mother? Half the book so far is details about screwing a guy. You're really going to tell your mother about how he fisted you?!? I don't even care. Completely unnecessary.

It's more like a 300 page poem.

Not sure if I'm going to finish this....

I've listened to the first chapter and in already in love with this book.

I can't stop...I want to know what's going to happen!!!

I an actually listening to the audiobook and I am enjoying it. I did, however, have to look up a family tree because I'm having a hard time following the ancestry lines...

It's flowing well...I still don't quite understand where it's going...

My book has 1300 pages. It took nearly SEVEN HUNDRED pages to get interesting. I am finally to a point where I want to know what's going to happen. Too bad it took over half of the book to get there. I think I may be finished with this series because of this book.

Ugh. I FINALLY got to the climax of the story. It took over half the bin to get there. I love these characters, but I get si bored just reading about normal mundane things happening in their lives. I hope the last 40% goes faster....

Long book and sometimes not the easiest to read. Lots of names that makes it somewhat difficult to keep track of who is doing what and who is involved in what part of the scheme.

This section I read today was sad. What a horrible part of American history. :(

Not at all what I thought I'd be walking into upon starting the second book in this series. I'm intrigued.

Was interesting in the beginning....I'm not so interested in it now. Honestly, having taught immigrants for so long, these stories are nothing new to me and don't in any way shock me.
