Dark noir, Nordic style. And brother, it is dark, dark, dark.

Bought it yesterday (Tuesday). So far, very very good.

Re-reading it, and it's giving me the feeling of meeting up with an old friend again. Thoroughly enjoying it.

So far so good. A historical novel set in the era of Henry VIII. Main character is a scholarly lawyer with a physical disfigurment of a a hunch back. Already it sounds too good to pass up.

The English countryside of Cornwall. A cozy mystery in the classic sense. 'Bout half way done.

Forgot just how smoothe Ed McBain's writing is. We're talking about the man who made me fall in love with police-procedurals here. Excellent stuff!

Any Gabriel Allon spy novel by Daniel Silva is one hell of a good read. And this one is no different!

So far much, much better than the last Bourne novel. This one actually has a plot to it.

Some of the master's short stories, a couple of his novels. Damn good reading.

Re-reading this for, oh hell, the fifth or sixth time. Still just as fresh and timely as the firs time I read it.

Everyone raves about this book/series. Hmmm . . . I have to say, I'm not that impressed. The reader is absolutely swamped with characters at the very beginning; the change of scenes from one character to another abrupt and brutal. The names of characters and places almost unpronoucable.

No, not very impressed.

Great story from a great writer. And the thing is, it's a collection of many writers who will follow Paul's first story--using his characters and adding to the adventures. An on-going series well worth the money!

The best Jack Reacher novel I've read so far. Great dialogue in it. Great story.

As ususal, Lee Child writes with a stark-reality pen. And I like it.
