Fascinating book about the woman who ran rings around Voltaire (by the sounds). It’s a tragedy her genius life was cut short at 41. None of the men in her life (there were three), seemed to prosper quite so well without her. Such is life 😉!

Haldi’s Story is a moving personal account of the experience of Estonian refugees at the end of World War 2.

Such wonderful template for the important work of reconciliation of ideas of place and country. It is exciting to read about this amazing place, the community that has called it home for millennia, and the characters that continue to be drawn there.
