I love this novel. What a joy to reread it. Florence Dombey is a wonderful heroine. If we could all be as kind and selfless as her the world would be a better place.

Even better than the first two. It was a pleasure to read.

I love this book. The tragedy of Soames's life, Galsworthy writes, "is the very simple, uncontrollable tragedy of being unlovable, without quite a thick enough skin to be thoroughly unconscious of the fact." The Forsytes are remarkably well done.
