Beautifully written. I graduated high school and started college in 2016. I remember reading Chanel’s victim statement when she was still Emily. I’m a firm believer in books finding you when you’re ready. My friend and I got to meet Chanel a few years ago at a book festival. She complimented my glasses and I bought her book Magnolia Wu Unfolds it All which she signed!

Beautiful storytelling. A story within a story within a story. Really loved Bao. Once I got into this book I could not put it down. There were a lot of lessons about love, relationships, trauma, healing, & the complicated mess that is being human. We also largely do not learn about the suffering of China during the wars in the West.

I really thought Lysander would choose love especially after learning his parents were reformers. I fear he sees it as a string that keeps him a puppet.
Distraught about Cassius. Fucking patricide basically. The parallel of Lysander killing both Alexandar and Cassius with a gun is disgusting.
Diomedes is who Cassius always thought he was. Lysander is everything wrong with gold. Entitled and self righteous.

Realized about halfway through that this would not be the last book. This one is flowing better than Iron Gold and Dark Age. Both were great, just slow at times. Dark Age was sad. Patiently waiting when Lysander gets back to Cassius and Diomedes. Sad I have to wait for Darrow, Sevro and everyone to get home to Mars.

I’m sorry, but the duster/glasses combo very much reminded me of The Matrix.
Also, I’m tense & can’t take this. Drowning in war & impossible decisions. I find Lysander really interesting. I have a soft spot for Cassius, I’m no better than Darrow. I frickin love Kavax. I just need him safe & silly. Poor Victra & Mustang

Very enjoyable, very fun. Dungeons & Dragons meets video game meets Hunger Games but in space.

Frickin knew Cassius wasn’t evil. The nod to Casablanca was corny as hell, but Cassius seems the type.
I love Mustang so much. Adrius never deserved her.
I really enjoyed this trilogy. Fun read. Impressive scale. Loved the characters.

Also just like terrifying and fascinating imagery. The cannibal Obsidians? The idea of a people’s Gods slain and proven human in front of them. Using Norse mythology as a ruse to oppress.

Victra’s mistrust of Mustang is interesting considering how she felt being judged for her last name and family.

I’m either going crazy or that’s not Sevro. Darrow compared his tone to the Jackals and Quicksilver called him Adrius. It’s either not Sevro or his father’s death hit him harder than he wanted.
