so I'm halfway thru the trio set... and I can't do it! I can read about Skyla anymore! She's self-centered, egotistical, wishy washy... & those are her better qualities! She reminds us that she's a virgin, yet she's running around kissing every Tom, Dick and Harry... professing love for someone within moments of laying eyes on them, then calls people sluts and whores for going after 1 of her many men. I'm quitting!

I'm reading the box set with the first 3 books so the %might be off, but I'm having a problem! I. can't. stand. Skyla! She's shallow, manipulative, conceited, did I mention shallow? She's toying with 2 guys' hearts, she's happy when people are jealous of her... she even holds it against Logan that he dated a girl who is now DEAD!!! Seriously keep hoping the bad guys kill her!

One reviewer mentioned the strange prologue that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the story; I believe it's to let us know that Ara's "death at birth" she'll be vamp material. Hope it comes soon cause I doubt I'll read any further books in this series.

This reads like Twilight fan fiction. I know there are those who will complain that I keep mentioning Twilight in my reviews, but this book not only gets close to directly quoting Twi, it also brings up Twi!

Why on EARTH did I not read the other reviews before picking up this "Twilight rewrite"? I rarely leave a book unfinished... I'm tempted now tho!! Twilight was horrible enough, this feels like an Aussie take on the story. Change a few things to keep the copyright police away.... So disappointed.

ok... I'm seriously confused. I know it's written in Aussie-English... but is it set in the USA or what? Every character speaks Aussie but they mention flags on the 4th of July? If you're going to write Aussie, that's fine, but here in the USA, we don't. Also... is she scarred? It's mentioned then seems to be forgotten. She's shy, then she's outgoing, then she's shy.... pick a trait!!

I absolutely love Elle's writing! She honestly writes as if your friend is telling you the story. So far, 4 LOL's

could use a once over by an editor/good beta reader. "wander" instead of "wonder" and missing commas. Makes the reading choppy for me. Also, when they're back in plantation era, the way they speak doesn't change... and it would. little mistakes like this break the flow. Good story, so far, but needs help.

This "book" is nowhere NEAR "pay for me" status. I've made my notes public on Amazon... I have a headache from this book! I'm wondering the age of the author. My 15 year old knows the plural of wolf is wolves, but the author apparently doesn't. And the "..."'s are out of hand. This book should not be for sale. There might be a great plot going on here, but I can't see it through the myriad of mistakes.

Also can't stand when a book only has one rating on Goodreads and it's a 5 star from the author.

so many notes being made.... I hate doing an editor's job! Beta readers!!! If you can't afford an editor, GET BETA READERS!

I'm not usually one for books dealing with kings and queens, sword fights and such... but I'm really liking this book so far'

ok, there are still hints of a demon, but all I'm reading is "spoiled rich bitch". Not the paranormal I expected at all and, being over half done, still just calling this book very odd.

An odd book... no "a"

ok... not really getting into this book at all. Could be the skin-crawl I get from being in a stalker-psycho's head or listening to a crazy girl's ramblings. I was told there was a demon in a stone... yea, not yet. this is such a odd book!!

so far this book is.... odd! I can't really feel for anyone at all yet...

oh good grief this is slow going. not really getting to the "I gotta keep reading!" stage. So far, interesting but not gripping. I could stop now and be ok with it.

This is just so hard to follow! I can keep up with the reality changes (now vs Nightworld), but the times are confusing. One second she's a fierce butt kicking Safire with Ne'erbow, the next she's young and untrained with a dude and wolves. Also hoping the relationship with Thomas "matures" soon. These are adults carrying on like 5 yr olds!
