The content is fascinating but hearing the author narrate the audiobook is elite.

I took an out of office day for this.

Found out recently that I’m BASICALLY related* to this author and I really liked The Roommates so I’m going to read all her books this year.

*She was a bridesmaid at my husband’s cousin’s wedding**

**I did not attend this wedding***

***but still. Basically related.

I feel like such a dumb dumb. I had no idea how much this book tied into the Crescent City series. All the foreshadowing I had completely missed the first time I read it. smh.

This is the last book I need to read to be ready for CC3. Unfortunately it’s my least favorite of all SJM books.

Still my least favorite of the SJM series.

Time to read this a second time before the 3rd book comes out. I felt solidly “meh” about this series on my first read, so here’s hoping the second time’s the charm.

I had the sudden urge to go back through the Emily Henry catalog and I am leaning the hell into it.

This is so uncomfortable. It’s like a game of chicken with my white liberalism. I love it.
