I hate this fucking book

This book is SO FUCKING TERRIBLE.
All the characters are the exact same person. They don’t have any fucking depth.

This is the worst book I’ve read in a very very long time. Probably t he worst book I’ve ever read.

This book is fucking terrible

The sole black character has cheated on the white paragon of virtue and intelligence, our protagonist Chennelle.

Also she thinks Wiccans sacrifice humans.

So here we are page 50 and we have two horrible glaring stereotypes about traditionally othered groups

And what an utter shocker the writer is a White American Christian woman 😱

This book is so badly written. The characters are just mouthpieces void of any defining characteristics, spouting odd disjointed dialogue. Everyone speaks the same and they all sound like “This is a plot point, I am speaking to advance the plot because the writer has written this.”

“Ah yes of course, I will now respond.”

I’m so annoyed that Diana’s power is tied to Matthew.

What a disgusting thing to write. To take a witch, a symbol of powerful, independent women, and shackle her power to an overbearing controlling man. Disgusting. It was so staggeringly patriarchal that I check to see if the book was written by a man.

I’m disappointed to find that a woman wrote this.

I genuinely cannot believe how STUPID Susan is. OF COURSE THE MURDERING MURDER WILL MURDER YOU. Obviously don’t tell the murderer that you’re gonna tell the police 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ IDIOT.

This is a really fucking heavy book. Trigger goddamn motherfucking warning.

This book is interesting in spite of the fact that it is not well written. The writing really gets in the way of the story. It often reads like an information dump that hasn’t been edited at all.
