Ah, my reading had slowed down these past few months because of some changes in the office but will get back to the circuit in a moderate pace soon. All I could say about Yao's writing is, it's just the same as the others.

I am being treated to a fine dining restaurant (Reading) with Alfred Knopf as the waiter and Kaz Ishiguro as the chef with Remains of the Day as the mouthwatering dish.

My brain is now turning into soup: my sights turning into pea soup: Goytisolo is caustic without any sense of direction.

Will start this one first instead of ROTD. A very confusing book I might say.

It's now up to speed; frenetic and fast-paced.

Still feels like a Scandinavian Detective novel.

Just getting slower; I'm imagining Oscar Fate/Quincy Williams to be Wesley Snipes.

I might have to read 2666 bit by bit 100 pages every week. van de Ruit snuck in Filipinos here...
