Proofreading - Page 300. Taking forever, but ill-health and whatnot are slowing me down. Only 158 pages left.

Last night, I had a positively frightening nightmare where I lived in a world where instead of the nice, neat English we have today, the common tongue was brusque, and childish, with words and sentences abbreviated, and good punctuation gone entirely. Then, I woke up and I wept, for it was our world. Good on you citizens of Goodreads.com for keeping good grammar alive.

I got to meet the actress Fairuza Balk today! After hanging out with her for a couple of hours, I'm starting to see why she was the crazy one in "The Craft"...

Spent the day watching Studio Ghibli films, and old episodes of Cowboy Bebop. Oh childhood, how I miss you. Happy New Years everyone.

I started a new novel today. I don't know when it will be done, where it will go, or what I will do with it afterwards, but I will give you one clue about it: Desdemona.

A woman approached me at work today and asked if we had any books about fairies. I handed her Tithe by Holly Black and she said "No, REAL books with pictures, like in their natural habitat." Evidently, fairies are real.

I just got a scathing message from a published author, who called me an 'uneducated, sadistic, belligerent bully' for not liking their book, and giving them a low score.

There will be a new Harry Potter film! I can't wait to see what adventures Newt Scamander gets up to, and I hope the thing is either stopmotion, claymation, or even an anime done by Studio Ghibli.

You know you use Goodreads too much when you open up a new tab to check your messages, only to find three of the exact same open already! True story.
