I am only 20 pages in, but oh my goodness, this woman is a delight.
Here's one banger from the beginning of this 1933 memoir:
"One receives a most false impression that archeology is not really half as fun as it ought to be, and that archeologists are dry things, squeezed empty of all human qualities.
Now I for one know better, for I have been and I have seen."

This was such an amazing audiobook. Such a good combination of history, hope, and inspiration to keep fighting the good fights. This is exactly what I needed to read right now. I think it might be what everyone needs right now. 💙🤍❤️

Mixed feelings on this one. It has a mischievous, strong independent young woman narrator that I mostly liked, but the 60/70s free love vibes are a bit too strong. Those hippies were wild, man. ✌️☮️
