I just couldn’t get into it

I’ve been struggling through this book for more than a week and I’m on page 168. I don’t care much about the characters but I’m kind of curious to see what happens.

Struggling to finish this book as I don’t care much for the characters

A novel that skims the surface spending more time on what each character is wearing than on the emotions they are experiencing. I’ll keep reading but it is so-so.

The problem with this book is that as a reader a feel like I’m plowing through the same inhumane, soul-sucking days as the main character. At page 180 I’m not sure I want to finish even though I want to know how it ends.

I’m struggling to get through this book which is a shame. I have loved everything by this author except this book. Although it’s very well executed I just have no interest in the story, which is reminiscent of so many stories from the early 1970s. I guess because I lived through it it’s just an old story to me.

I’ve taken a break. I’ll probably pick it back up again later in the year. I love the premise but at page 135 I was tired of Tom and the tone of the book.

Not sure if I will finish this book as I’ve read 100+ pages and am bored silly.

Read to page 91 and gave up. I picked this book up 3 times because I wanted to love it. I loved the premise but in the end it didn't captivate me - and, well life is too short and my to-read list is too long.

Could not get into this book. Best book by this author so far has been Skipping a Beat

Terrible book. Gave it about 100 pages because I liked this author's previous book, but this one was just bad.
