Trying to get through the rest of this...the second half picked up a lot! I like seeing some things come together now, but if I have to read the phrase "Christ's blood" one more time, I might hurl the book out the window instead.

Christa Carmen's "Vulture Eyes" is so good and I am once again asking everyone to buy her work because she's really just incredible.

Loved Alexis DuBon’s visceral, creepy tale “Bug Bite” eeeek!

Absolutely loved the first story! Great way to begin.

"Distillation" by J.R. McConvey was like a beautiful, weird fever dream. Every line was poetry. So much packed into that short tale.

Loved "Dandelion Six" by Gordon B. White -- beautiful descriptions. The juxtaposition with celebrity status and how the media treats environmental issues was brilliant.

Ooh I am loving the second half so much so far.
