I didn’t spend three books in Feyre’s brain just to switch to another character.
Whoever told the author this was a good idea was wrong.
The writing of these books is terrible. The actual story is amazing and the reason I’m sticking it out.
But I don’t care about Nesta’s perspective any more than I’d care to read Azriel’s or Lucien’s.
Maybe Morrigan’s would be cool.

We seriously need to talk about overusing phrases, Sarah J. Maas.

Several times Feyre is like, “I don’t want to know.” But I do want to know. And I find this frustrating.

Rhe author repeats phrases too much for my liking. Having just read the first book and now beginning this one I can safely say the phrase, “tear into ribbons” has been used 86 times….

To live dishonestly seemed a cowardly way to use up one’s time.

Anyone as attuned a Frank was to nature’s order, anyone raised to rain outside the mainstream, was not going to be penned in very well by society’s rules.

“It felt like freedom itself to look at the horizon.”

“I’m like the trunk of a cactus, I suppose, i take in a dose of culture and time with friends, then I retreat and go live on it for a while until I get thirsty again.”

“…another first chance to do something id never done before.”

“… you may have to break down the walls of whatever is holding you back first. Ignore the doubt- it’s not your friend- and just keep going, keep going, keep going.”

“I exude more of an “I’m kind of winging it here, but isn’t it fun?” type of vibe.”

You know, I get that about her.

“Those are the facts. Being upset about them don’t make them false.”

As I finished my second kill, I planned what I’d do to the person who made me so hungry I had to eat quail.

So far this has been a surprisingly witty and humorous book.
