It's been a long while since I picked up an honest-to-goodness page-turner. Bound had me sucked in from the first line. It's late, I'm tired, but I'm facing the very real possibility of getting no sleep tonight...

Just finished White Lines, White Crosses: a story that I ripped through with compulsion and agony. As both a once-wayward teen and a father of two boys, the truth and the horror of this short affected me deeply. It's going to linger as I watch my boys grow, like a ghost in the passenger seat, or a phantom caught in the headlights on the midnight highway.
