Okay this book is definitely growing on me.

Instead of a normal narrative structure, this seems like a series of vignettes. It is difficult to follow along on audio.

Man I love the wheel of time so much. Robert Jordan really captured something special with this series.

Now that they canceled the stupid show I need to read this series again!

This is really good so far but when I picture Dov, all I can think about is JP from Grandma's Boy and I'm just waiting for him to do a robot voice. 😂

It's automatic when Joe Abercrombie is the author.

This is really good. Holdt uses actual Norse mythology instead of mimicking it with her own names, places, etc. The character work is very well done so far.

I need some more Donna Tartt in my life.

I fear this is going to be a very divisive book amongst the book club. I can easily see how someone could be bored out of their mind reading it but I love slice of life sections in books and Towles does slice of life as good as Stephen King. Loving it so far.

King is so good at crafting characters.

I love when authors dive into their magic systems and come up with super creative ways to use them.

I'm having FOMO thanks to Michelle and Kim so for the third time I will be reading maybe the best trilogy ever written.

I'm going to shelve this for now that I finished Inferno. Despite the poetry being really beautifully written, it's a very slow read and feels like work. I will return to read Purgatory at a later date.
