A long read, but a very good study of man. Since this was written at the dawn of the industrial revolution, it is no surprise that Shelley did not envision much change in the devices of the world, but she did foresee the expansion of democratic principles in European society. But that is merely the background of this story. I feel she did an excellent job on the trajectory and emotions of the title character.
