Y'all, if this book maintains the level of excellence it has had so far, I think it might be my fave book of 2019. For serious.

Not because it's a beautifully written book (the writing style is solid, tho), but because I am really enjoying the way it's tapping into tropes and themes I lurve.

I like Noah BUT, at this point in the story, reading about him constantly doing such a poor job as a PA is stressing me out like whoa. >:( #Getyouracttogetherdude #Ughhh #LackofcompetenceisSUCHapetpeeveofmine #Especiallywhenithappensduetostubborness

One thing I've noticed abt Merikan's writing is their ability to weave humor without making it too OTT or meh. I...had no idea I would be LOLing so much given the theme.

THAT SAID, I've figured out the ~mystery~. Have opted to not spend my time eyerolling at Beast and co.'s for slowness at connecting the dots.

Even though this one is not going to reach the heights of Old School Discipline, I have to say that I'm digging it.

This is deffo a kitchen sink kind of plot. Tons of things have happened and I've only begun the story. O__O!

Also, as of right now, I'm siding with Laurent over Beast. Like, I really want to keep him safe. #Awwww

Despite his ~obsession~ with everything equestrian, I am totes charmed by Erik. Especially whenever he replies so matter-of-factly/cool to Reuben (Copper)'s understandably frustrated questions and comments.

It's working for me so far. I have some thoughts abt the MCs and am enjoying the ultra!slow burn between them. The plot is also pretty kicky. :)

I made the mistake of starting to read this book v. late last night. Had to give myself a stern talk to put the book down lest I wouldn't get up early for work.

Even knowing the overall arc/eventual outcome, I'm SUPER CHARMED by this story and it's heady mix of kink and romance. *________*

I read a side story and now want to learn how everything in the SMU series began. ;)

This book is subtly OTT and I love it. Kit and Will's reactions to each other is super fun to read. ;)

I tip my hat to the authors for working the enemies-to-lovers trope so well.

Part of what is making this story such a fun read for me is that I've embraced the ridic or OTT bits. Also, I'm deffo a sucker for Aloha heroes whose world is shaken up in unexpected ways. Oh, and Kit is deffo my bae. ;P
