I feel like Hayden is being written way too immature and careless for his age, and it’s starting to feel a little forced. As if it is intentional. I’m expecting her to leave for a while, and when she sees her brother again he’s either the king or some big-time villain/bad boy mastermind 🤣 He’s described like something major will revolve around him later. We shall see 👀 For now, I’m intrigued.

His way of talking doesn’t match the personality portrayed in the book sometimes. It just takes me out of it so much. He’s described as quiet and brooding and then talks all dandy. LIKE HOW?
I’m dragging through this one to get to Niko’s book but is hard ngl

She’s supposedly a ballerina but she can’t hike more than 10 minutes. Very hard to believe.
Also the Tchaikovsky lines make me cringe so hard. I still have a lot of hope for the rest of the book though.

This author has piqued my interest. I’ll be looking for more of her books in the future. Very strong writing skills.
