i originally bought this to read on the plane to iceland but i’m so glad i didn’t end up reading it then bc the first story is both vile & depressing & it would have ruined my day (i love it).

the barnes & noble in westlake was pushing this book so heavily, they had no joke like 5 tables featuring this book. i had a glass of wine prior and the reviews on goodreads were polarizing enough to make me buy it.
