I needed something light and quick to read while I’m lying down with my feet up. I read these many years ago. They are pretty dated but still fun little reads.

This book is on hold for a bit. I've been slacking on my reading lately and the ebook expired before I could finish. I think I'll try the print version instead.

And for heaven sake, get a better editor. "Grizzly" autopsy scene is NOT what you meant.

Only 50 pages in and I already have a beef. There is no single keystroke that will cause a file to completely disappear from your computer screen. Have someone be a technological ignoramus, by all means. But make sure the "expert" doesn't sound as stupid as the ignoramus does.

It hardly seems possible, but this book manages to make Mrs. Pringle an even more unattractive character than she already is, at least in the early chapters.

Typical Pratchett - hilarity mixed with pointed commentary on life.

I'm 45 minutes into the audiobook. I'm not keen on books about rude, snotty children, even when I sympathize that the rude snottiness is the result of crappy parenting. But I'm giving it a chance to see if things improve.

This book is not a great book by any stretch, but it's one I enjoy to pull out every few years. Just for fun.

Some of these are interesting, and some are odd. The one I just finished, "The Coming of the Terror" by Arthur Machen, started out well but the ending was a disappointment.

I admire Corwin's passion for wildlife, but his book could use a thorough going over by a writing expert. He has obviously never met a cliché he didn't like, because he uses them all in the first chapter.

I am really not enjoying this book. It's well-written, and the audiobook performance by Nathaniel Parker is excellent. But Artemis is a selfish little asshole, and I've never enjoyed stories about criminal dynasties (think Mafia), so I'm not sure I give enough of a damn to want to read any other books in this series. Even if he does redeem himself later.
