Im pretty sad about how meh this is for me.

I have fallen down a historical, paranormal gay romance rabbit hole and I cant seem to get out. It's 100% KJ Charles's fault.

This book needs to be two books.

I last time I reread this the year the last book came out. I hope I love them like I used to!

Napoleonic wars but with dragons. The dragon just pops out of his egg and starts talking. This is either going to be bananas or very stupid, Im excited.

So hilariously weird.

This book is just flying by. We jump from scene to scene with no prelude and all the problems of the last two are in full force. Why does everyone in Emilys life need to repeat how smart and beautiful she is? I mean, really, does show not tell mean anything to this author? It is annoying to have her Mary Sueing about all the time. And the way she 'investigates' seems to be to magically meet people who can help her.

This is an excellent title. I'm having a hard time explaining why I like this series. I keep guessing the ending about half way through, but I still enjoy them. On to the next.

Why do I keep reading this series? Is it because my library branch has a nice lady who said they get better? Is it because I am not very nice to myself? Spoilers: its both. Why does Julia have to take the 2 steps forward 3 steps back approach to being a likable character? Every time she starts to be actually clever and independent, she turns around to runs after Brisbane in the most annoying way possible. Eye rolls.
