Why is this book do addictive?

It is getting more violent and dark

It is not as fast paced and action packed as the first book still I find it pretty exciting.

Honestly I thought I was sick in the head to laugh at a book about death but with time it became morbid but very interesting. People keep saying read useful books (non-fiction,maybe?) but I think this book raises some very interesting questions.
