Okay the creepy breathy narrator only does that for one of the multiple male characters. It’s totally not that bad.

I have to do this as an audiobook because I work a lot but the male reader does a lot of heavy creepy mouth breathing narrative. I can barely stand it. I may DNF if I have to do too much more of it. There is no reason for the way he is speaking, I don’t get it.

It’s good. Harder to hear some of it knowing he’s gone. But so so good.

It’s so easy to stay interested but I hate Lena. She’s just such a jerk. And if you’ve read…when she says “you’re saying you liked it?” Gross victim shaming.

Karin Slaughter is consistently able to get me into the boom within the first 2-4 pages. Love that. I’m so excited that this is the 1st of 10, I’ve never read series longer than 4.
