I stopped reading (listening to) this book. I just can’t follow it snd the characters aren’t engaging me.

I’m almost finished listening to this book and want to drag it out do it never ends. It took a bit for the characters to come to life but once they did, their authenticity and individual quirks are endearing.

Fascinating story but hard to follow on audio.

Great book! McRaven is a fantastic reader and hearing a memoir in the author’s voice is a bonus! He’s engaging and humble while describing his role in major events in the war on terrorism.

I’m not sure if my dislike of this story has more to do with the breathy, annoying voice the narrator used for the main character or the predictable story line.

Yikes, it's as awful to listen to as it was to read 10 years ago. Stopping now, life's too short!

I'd hoped to learn more about Pat Tillman's life but his book filled in some details regarding events leading up to the war in Afghanistan. I'm put off by the halo the author has placed on Pat Tillman's head, though. He certainly did seem to have some admirable qualities (loyal, hard working when he had a goal in mind, intelligent and sensitive to those he cared for) but the general tone is of unabashed admiration.
