Finally getting back to this after a reading slump. Really starting to pick up. Idk if I'm supposed to, but I'm kind of digging Telo so far. Like a troubled warrior type.

Maas' perfectly perfect protagonists are beginning to get a bit dull and repetitive to me. At this point, I feel like I'm 90% in it for Rhysand, 10% because I actually care about what happens to Feyre and her sisters.

It took awhile, but I'm finally starting to get on board with this Jesper/Wylan ship. The way Jesper comforts him is just so...pure.

All the hype and love this series has gotten has me so glad to FINALLY get to start this book, and so terrified I'll be the baahing black sheep yet again.

I was born in 1990, so I just missed the 80s craze. This book is making me nostalgic for a time I never even got to experience.

So far, nothing can compare to those first two chapters, but it's keeping me invested in the characters and the case.

There is a definite learning curve when adjusting to the story being told predominately through emails/faxes etc., but now that I'm past that I'm really enjoying this book.

I'm beginning to feel like Black's backstories are more thought out than her actual plot. I wish she'd stop pausing the present-tense momentum to tell us some random, albeit entertaining, side story.

The very mixed reviews for this have me more than a little skeptical, but I typically love Holly Black's books so I'll have to see for myself.

Someone get me a Josh Templeman for Christmas, please.

Well. Thorne certainly didn't waste much time getting to the good stuff, did she? I fully expect this to shatter the stubborn remnants of my reading slump and add one Joshua Templeman to my harem of book boyfriends.

I bounce from really enjoying this book to being so frustrated and annoyed by it so much that rating it is going to be impossible. All I do know, though, is that Nate doesn't deserve Luke. Dress it up all you want in "good intentions", the way he treated that sweet boy is just not cool.

So. Much. Angst. Jury's still out on whether or not that's a good thing. It's keeping me entertained, though.

Omg, this ending is getting so intense. So horrible, so tragic, so freaking good.

Perfect example of a technically exemplary novel that, for some reason, just hasn't been able to fully capture me. I hope to be finished soon.

Despite slow beginning, I'm really enjoying this. Interested to see how Cath goes from hopeful baker falling in love to the evil Queen with a penchant for beheading.

Because of all the glowing reviews, I'll give this book a few more chapters to redeem itself, but so far, this is just not my cup of tea.

The romance in this book simultaneously makes me roll my eyes and read faster. It's like the equivalent of a pop song that you know is shitty and completely unoriginal, but find yourself bobbing your head along with it anyway.

This book is entertaining, but I doubt it'll be a favorite. Too many predictable revelations and cheesy moments.

I'm enjoying this, but there are some things bugging the hell out of me. Like the fact that during an alien apocalypse, the death of virtually everyone she knows at her feet, Cassie is still hung up on some hot guy? Girl, no.

This really was so much better than I expected it to be. I'm not typically a fan of zombie stories, but Rot & Ruin made it onto the very small list of zombie-anythings that I enjoyed. Recommended.

Though this is taking me a long time to read, (a very long time), I'm still loving it. For me, this is shaping up to be one of those reads that has to be read, to be savored.

26 pages in and I'm already loving this. My favorite thing about this series is how Shusterman manages to take such an unlikely premise - unwinding - and use twisted logic and societal fears to make it seem not only plausible, but chillingly realistic. It takes a rare kind of talent to do that.

Yeah, I am just not enjoying this. Too melodramatic, too long for its plot, and I really do not like Andi. And now the "twist"? Really? Ughhhhhh.... The actual writing is good, at least, and with fewer than 100 pgs left I'm not going to DNF it. But unless the last pages are gold, this will be a 2 star read for me.

Not too thrilled with this one yet. I'm hoping it picks up, but I don't have high hopes that it will. The writing is good, but I still have zero connection with any of the characters.

Without giving any spoilers, there's one thing in this novel that reminds me a bit too much of a Catching Fire plot twist. Though it probably wasn't intentional, it does bother me just slightly. Putting that aside, though, this book is effing awesome so far. Quite possibly even more compulsively readable than Unwind.
