I'm at 27%, and Kulti's actions are making me grin so wide! I've a thing for Zapata's sportsmen. First, it was Aiden "The Wall of Winnipeg" Graves, now it's Reiner "The King" Kulti. I'm already in love with him, and the slow pace is growing on me. I love this no rush, slow love. When is Sal going to fall for him, and when will he fall?

Zapata is the queen of slow burns, and yes, I'm reading this wayyy too late, but hey, trust the ti.ing to pick the correct book for you. Also, why doesn't she write from the male pov. I want to be slowly burned by Kulti, too.

Why didn't I start this before

The first 40% was boring af but this is Devil's Night series so I was hopeful and the now at 68% I'm so high on this. Not on the characters though, on the plot.

I'm not going to even try to solve this one. Just a bystander, a reader here because SHIT this one's darker and more sinister and I don't want to solve that.

This book is REALLY unputdownable!

HOW IS IT ONLY 66% DONE!? HOW!? AND I BEGAN TO UNDERSRAND IT ONLY AFTER 50% AND NOW I CANT READ FAST ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND ALL OF IT! WHY!? WHYYYYYY!?!?!?!?!?

Everything is interconnected, interwoven and there are so many metaphors, so many things and words and people who are something else but you do not understand it before it is right before your eyes and even then it takes sometime to grasp it. People are concepts and concepts are people, past is future, future is the present and present is totally confusing. My mind might explode.

I really wish I hadn't downloaded the ebook and purchased the paperback because WHAT A BOOK! I'm only 6% in, on page 32, and I want this book physically, I also want the wine coloured book in my hands, belonging to me.

Love triangle trope, my most hated trope in a book but I'll give it a try because of Atlas Corrigan.

Now THIS is a true enemies to lovers story. I just LOVE how they're bickering!

Ana is a prostitute. I did not gather this from the blurb. I don't know what to feel now.

This one is darker and menacing–if that's even possible than Pestilence. I mean, this us War. Angry, ferocious, bloodthirsty war. But, darker the book's theme, better is the grovelling. Or so I hope🤞

God this book is GOOD!
