This is a wonderful guide and a very worthwhile purchase! It has a chapter for each celebration observed by the Celtic Christians: four celtic festivals of Samhain, Imbolc, Belltain, and Lughnasa plus the solstices and equinoxes. Each celebration features an event introduction, liturgy, a week of daily devotions around the celebration, and prayers and blessings.

This is a reference book. Excellent index. Not something you read cover to cover.
In my search for a well researched , book about the Celts, this was the best I could find. The Oxford University Press stands by their work and so I am trusting that this is the most accurate research.

So poignant. Definitely shows not tells about the Native experience. Love how the different characters and family members weave through the story. A book I’m compelled to recommend.

In addition to her plays and other writing, she was an activist. Found the descriptions of her Black Nationalist political activities gave a good feel for Black Radicalism in the 1950s.
I agree in the opinion the book states that the evils of capitalism are a reason for white supremacy.
Love when the author reads her book. She did an excellent job.

I’m liking it. Poetically written and barely into it I have a sorrow for the genocide, cruelty, and stealing of land my ancestors did.

I’m going to write a letter to Chartres and demand the statue be returned to Black.
Something I would not have done before reading this book.

Just exquisite intro, commentaries , and even suggestions for putting the poems in action by Ari Honarvar. I can’t say enough about the art for the cards.
I’ve had trouble digesting Rumi. Ari’s commentaries and the oracle card format are helping me read and appreciate Rumi and “get” the poems.
