6/5/2024 Hired by the Enemy by Jax Calder: 3.5 stars, cute but pretty cliché, especially at the end of the book.

Brie Mine : cute but nothing special.

Among Friends - Annabeth Albert: 3 stars. Started out good but went off the rails a bit. Tate was too pushy.

Shelving this for now. The story is so sweet, it's boring and Harrison's self sacrificing with regards to his daughter is getting on my nerves.

Lots of religion, guns and very unprofessional behaviour. I don't think this is the book for me.

I liked the fact that the first book was uncomplicated, but this one is so uncomplicated it is boring me. There is no tension between the MC and they don't have sparkling personalities either. DNF, at least for now.

Read before: Leaning Into Love & The Sweetest Goodbye (3.5 stars)

Abandoning this one for now. The book is OK, but it's so slow going and the romance is very much secondary to the chase through Egypt. I keep trying to finish it for days now, but I keep on getting stuck or start skimming.

So far the book is OK. The details are often wrong though and the dates are off.

OK so far. The premise is fun, but it's not really grabbing me yet.

I'm probably giving up on this one. I'm currently at 17 percent and it's just not my kind of book. I think I'll stick to my historical romances.
