Every time the POV changes to the past it's so jarring.

There's something so unsettling about this book. Something festers under the surface.

This book is causing an unbelievable amount of stress.

It is different than I expected. There is a lot more memoir than I hoped for and I'm having to Google as I read to fill in the gaps. I would have wanted some more words on the nitty gritty of the monsters.

There are sooooooo many POVs in this book - it's very annoying.

The writing is so vivid. I feel physically weak when I read the descriptions of the blood lettings. Talk about body horror.
