I can't finish this book. I tired.

This is one of the most beautifully written books I've read. Only Mark Helprin makes me re-read passages over and over because they are so masterfully written.

I would just like to put out there that having a category called "Chic Lit" is sexist, insulting to men and not really appropriate for a literary site. It's juvenile.

so far, pretty good - i like the contrivance of telling the story from the servant's perspective ... interesting part of iranian history

I really enjoyed this book. The writing was excellent, the story was compelling and I was totally unprepared for the dramatic ending. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Enjoying this book enormously. The writing is tight, modern and the story is engaging. The characters are well drawn and I'm intrigued to learn what comes next.

I didn't finish the book and that's rare for me. I really appreciated the writing, but the story did nothing for me. I understood the message, but it wasn't anything in which I was terribly interested. I thought the characters were fairly flat.

I really enjoyed the story and Mr. Hosseini's writing has taken more shape. Enjoyable.

It's rare that I don't finish a book, but this is just not moving me....
