This book is for the most part, quite boring to me, yet it will have a chapter here and there where it pulls me back in and I actually get invested, but the enticement doesn't last. Its a hard one to judge at the moment.

Hmm...not sure about that last 20 pages. I was expecting a bit more explanation and build up instead of that happening instantly. Felt very anticlimactic. Hopefully things are explained further along.

This is looking very, very promising. I am reading with such ease and enjoyment and I feel the emotions already! I'm very excited at the moment

Why has this been on my shelf for SIX YEARS?! At this point, my expectations for this series is very high because this has started amazingly! Slow paced for sure, but it works and it only drives up that anticipation. Loving it!

131 pages in two days. Takes me a month per book normally. I have always been a sucker for forbidden love through adversity. Can't wait for the inevitable pain to come. If I cry at the end the book rates higher. Makes no sense. Ah well.

That level of action and suspense in the middle of the book?! How are people saying this is worse than the first book? I'm loving this!

This is setting up to be my second favourite V E Schwab book! (Nothing will top Addie LaRue). I hope it lives up to my newly found high expectations!

So far, so good. I like Shallan's character more but Kaladin's story seems to be more promising. I can feel all the details I'm not yet understanding or noticing having some sort of influence later on. The pay off will be the make or break of this book.

Ok, it's been a long time coming. 8 years on my shelves to be exact! Am I ready? Probably not. Let's go!

Ummm...dunno what to think of this right now. Not holding out much hope. The writing style is either poor or just not my cup of tea. It's short so hopefully I'll finish it whether it gets better or not 😕

I'm not a non fiction reader so I am surprised at the enjoyment of this so far! Such a fresh perspective than what I'm used to!

Putting this on the back burner. I loved the original series and I'm not feeling it right now but will not DNF until at least half way through if I continue to struggle with it.

Finally it's starting to get good! That first part wasn't bad just...meh.
