I'm hating it!

Hum... way too similar to Kristy Cunning's The Dark Side series

Pathetic. A bunch of white guilt. Ungrateful Reds and yellows: " Don't expect us to thank you" and " your people. you. there's no difference." Sure let's blame all white people for something only a certain number of people did. We should also blame all Chinese for eating cats and dogs and enslaving their children, as well as blacks enslaving other blacks. We should blame all the black crime on all black people.

Now this is the way to write about minorities. During the time when they were actually victims, without forcing the issue, no false morality, no Force feeding the reader... sure, you can't help but have a a mixed relationship, ( it seems like white and white relationships are a thing of the past...) but at least this time they have added some actual diversity, with a Native American mixture.

This baby needed some editing. Nicky was described as having TWO brown eyes (Anita even questions him being naturally blonde) AND as having only one blue eye. I guess Laurell changed her mind about his appearance, but forgot to change things in a few places.

I could see the whole thing with the sister coming, but what he wanted HER to do with the baby Nope.

Not loving it... the writing gets a little immature at times, and the secondary characters are a lot more interesting than Alenna. Alanna?

Quick is pretty much the only author I know who writes about plain heroes and heroines as if they were gorgeous. And they are. They are incredibly smart, they're reckless and full of passion.
