I really like her own reading of this unabridged audio edition. I love how much she trusts creativity. Her common sense voice - yes, common sense voice, is so refreshing. There are redemptive comments so simple and plain in their expression that strike home as true to me.

I also wanted to hear the firsthand account of the clinical trial in which received treatment.

Kind of interesting. How this woman is a best seller is beyond me. I am reading it primarily to obtain some insight into someone’s experience with ECT and psychiatric treatment. I, personally, overall think it’s pretty grim and not very redemptive. Her tone is WHINY!! Whew! I’m going to finish to see if I can figure out why she has been a bestseller.

Interesting study in the mindset of the time it was written and the time written about.

Enjoying the Audible version. I love hearing his voice.

Confirmation bias is unrecognized in his own theme.

Re-reading a comforting book in times of trouble.

I'm reading the Easton Press edition. It's beautiful binding and print work. The reading is a bit of a yawner, but easy enough to follow.

I've got to buy this book.
