The Queer Girl Is Going To Be Okay has a lot of great points: queer MCs including a trans female MC and sapphic characters, talking about being queer in this world. There's a focus on friendships, sorority, which I love!
And yet I just couldn't quite get into it, I couldn't quite care so much about any of them.
Maybe the documentary plot could have been a bit more developed?

"Just enough shadows under her dark brown eyes to make her interesting" ... What's that supposed to mean? If you're healthy, without bags under your eyes, you're not interesting?

Am I the only one who struggles with characters falling in love after a few hours? And despite ghosting each other and not speaking for 364 days, they're still "in love"?

For the moment the book seems to be set so much more in the past than in the present ... Oh, and where are Kaz and Inej's POVs ???

The way our MC describes how he felt when he discovered what asexuality was and how he didn't feel broken anymore hits hard 🥹

There are effects in this audiobook!!! Effects!! Like we can hear birds and crickets and 😱😍

A little torn so far... Because the blurb sounds great, I really want to read about this non verbal gender non conforming teen. But I'm really not vibing with the writing, don't like it at all...

I feel like this could be fun and entertaining but I'm pretty sure the average narrator is boring me out... ouch
