oh thank god. for a few chapters there i thought i was being too critical on the high schooler brains thing. turns out it was just connell and his unfortunate boy brain. whewwwwwwwww fuckk youuu connellll

there's something about high schooler brains i don't appreciate. everything's a big deal and then the lesson at the end being the world is bigger than u think. all the fucking time.

but i'm going to keep reading to see if this one's different.

i wish katniss & the prep team had more conversations in 13... octavia dropping to her knees with only the line "it's been so long since i've seen anything pretty" feels dismissive of their relationship with cinna. this could've been given more depth :(
