Christina is starting The Keeper of Happy Endings
I admit I struggled at first with this one. The French accent narration was difficult to understand, but I got used to it and the story got better and better. I recommend. On Kindle Unlimited.

About 100 pages left and wished I could just take a day to finish it. Such a good book! I absolutely love it.

Christina is starting Winter Stroll (Winter, #2)
Good grief! Everyone is self-centered and selfish. What about me. If I don’t get enough attention, I will find it from someone else! Non-stop soap opera drama relationships. Though, you know I will be reading the 3rd book.

Christina is starting The Witching Hour (Lives of the Mayfair Witches, #1)
Almost finished with this book. It is 44 hours long! Too long really for a book. Reads like a Netflix series but so much history first. Got interesting at about 50% through. At 84%, still 7 more hours. This could be shorter. Getting lost in too much detail. …

Christina is starting Half Broke Horses
Quick read narrated by the author like her other book The Glass Castle. This is a story about her grandmother with a little bit of storytelling up until the point that her mother meets her father. Such an interesting life and I love how she tells the story with her perspective. She takes after her grandmother.

Christina is starting The Deep Blue Sea for Beginners (Newport, Rhode Island, #2)
Great read about a mother who leaves her family. The story unfolds with her daughters reuniting with her after their father dies. Love interests as well. This is book 2 of a series. Had not read book 1 beforehand but don’t feel I missed anything by not reading first.

Great read about a mother who left her family due and the story unfolds when her daughters try to reconnect with her after their father dies. Love interests involved too. This is book 2 in a series. Have not read book 1 yet but don’t feel I missed something.

Good book. This is a series. She writes with such detail I feel a book in hand vs audio would have been better. I did like the ending.

Christina is starting Nothing to See Here
Unique book. My take was the circumstances of combustible children were metaphorical for how public figures hide their imperfect lives. I did like how it ended though.

Christina is starting Boys & Sex: Young Men on Hookups, Love, Porn, Consent, and Navigating the New Masculinity
Pertinent, frankly scary, information parents need to know about what kids and young adults are faced with re: sexuality. Very distorted, disconnected view about personal relationships and making sure to communicate often with your kids about healthy relationships.

Did not finish this book but almost all. A lot of good insights from a psychology standpoint. I would finish it though. Worth reading.

Christina is starting Fly Away (Firefly Lane, #2)
This is the sequel to Firefly Lane which I also loved. The story continues after a lifelong friendship between two girls since high school. I loved the first one and this one too. It is definitely sad in parts and will make you tear up a little watching things unfold. Loved the ending.

Great insights on minimizing everything in your life. Helps you stretch in areas you would not have thought to do, and make hard decisions on areas you didn’t think you could live without. Quick read.

A good classic read. I enjoyed this as much as the movie but had the movie on my mental imagery as I read it. Good narrator choice as well.

Christina is starting The Goldfinch
Long book but storyline interlocking many different lives was well-written. Sad outcome and path a 13 year old boy finds himself after losing his mom in an explosion in an art museum. Definitely see how this was made into a movie. Feels like a Talented Mr. Ripley feel because of the deception. Kept feeling like Boris would turn out like this. Read and find out!

This book is really a five-star and well written, but it was not my favorite story. It was sad. A little monotonous, annoying, but I guess that was the point.
