I admit I struggled at first with this one. The French accent narration was difficult to understand, but I got used to it and the story got better and better. I recommend. On Kindle Unlimited.

About 100 pages left and wished I could just take a day to finish it. Such a good book! I absolutely love it.

Short story, reunion of old love interests after the death of a matriarch.

The concept of fuge state. Interesting story line.

Quick read narrated by the author like her other book The Glass Castle. This is a story about her grandmother with a little bit of storytelling up until the point that her mother meets her father. Such an interesting life and I love how she tells the story with her perspective. She takes after her grandmother.

Good book. This is a series. She writes with such detail I feel a book in hand vs audio would have been better. I did like the ending.

Unique book. My take was the circumstances of combustible children were metaphorical for how public figures hide their imperfect lives. I did like how it ended though.

Pertinent, frankly scary, information parents need to know about what kids and young adults are faced with re: sexuality. Very distorted, disconnected view about personal relationships and making sure to communicate often with your kids about healthy relationships.

This is the sequel to Firefly Lane which I also loved. The story continues after a lifelong friendship between two girls since high school. I loved the first one and this one too. It is definitely sad in parts and will make you tear up a little watching things unfold. Loved the ending.

Long book but storyline interlocking many different lives was well-written. Sad outcome and path a 13 year old boy finds himself after losing his mom in an explosion in an art museum. Definitely see how this was made into a movie. Feels like a Talented Mr. Ripley feel because of the deception. Kept feeling like Boris would turn out like this. Read and find out!

This book is really a five-star and well written, but it was not my favorite story. It was sad. A little monotonous, annoying, but I guess that was the point.

So many great books so little time! This one is no exception. I could not put this book down. It keeps you wondering to the end. Very well written storyline. Sad story but very intriguing.
