Chose as an easy and short introductory read on China’s recent history. So how am i on page 10 and already infuriated over the unnecessarily abstruse language. Please write A SINGLE sentence clearly, PLEASE.

Interesting but i sure wish it didn’t read so much like propaganda sometimes. As it stands i don’t see anyone who doesn’t already agree with the premise being convinced by rhetoric arguments.

This book has taken me months to read because every page sends my head spiralling with a million thoughts. What a gifted writer.

The size of the problem makes your head spin. As someone who knows nothing about anything it leaves you with a lot of questions regarding markets, law enforcement, etc…

The beginning was quite good, but since the “why the israeli working class is not an ally” chapter it’s been a little fluffy for me. We’ll see if this picks up.

Good info but definitely some omissions, phrasings and such which, while not invalidating his point, definitely mean that the only people reading this are people that agree with the conclusion to begin with (and i do so i enjoy it but wish it was also written for the « non-believer »)
