Maggie is on page 50 of Eavesdropping on Jane Austen's England
Stumbled across this by accident. What a find! Easy to read and picks up in the nitty gritty of what life was like back then.

Maggie is on page 247 of 425 of The Taming of the Queen (The Plantagenet and Tudor Novels, #12)
This is a fascinating account of a woman who is intelligent, pretty and making the best of a bad situation. I have to return the book today because it is only a short term loan but will pick it up again at the earliest opportunity.

Maggie is 80% done with The Brain's Way of Healing: Remarkable Discoveries and Recoveries from the Frontiers of Neuroplasticity
Fascinating so far. Adopting some of the visualisation techniques and sticking with meditation and walking. Talks about treatment for Parkinson's, MS and brain injury. Less reliance on drugs. Really recommend this book. Also Norman Doidge was interviewed on ABC radio recently which can be downloaded via podcast. He was also on Q&A last week. I downloaded my version onto my Kindle app.

Maggie is on page 136 of 344 of Old London Bridge: The Story of the Longest Inhabited Bridge in Europe
Fascinating so far. Who would have thought a bridge could house a whole community. The anecdotes and snapshots of events and the comings and goings of Kings and Queens really add to the mix.

I am enjoying this read. Philippa Gregory has clearly researched this material thoroughly and manages to immerse the reader deeply into the story. This is yet another slant and offshoot of the civil war that tore England apart under Charles I - I am delighted to have found this book as I am fascinated by this period of history and the beginnings of White settlement in America.
