this book is so damn sad

I am really enjoying this book and it is taking all my willpower to not search for spoilers! I have so so many questions - if Cardan is Jude's main love interest (my assumption); how will the story redeem him into someone we root for??? So curious!!! I'm also very concerned that Taryn is going to turn on us and I do not trust Locke for a second! Can't wait to see where we will go!

so far I am enjoying it. its written quite simply, like this is how id imagine a fae to talk tbh. I started it because every other book im currently reading is too heavy, thankfully (so far) this book is a nice escape from reality :)

this book really makes me reflect on how far māori have come and feel so sad for those (and there are way too many) who are still in these situations today.

I am so excited to learn about my atua. I feel that this book is going to be incredibly empowering, inspiring, and educational.

Definitely invested in the story so far but am finding it a bit difficult to immerse as its obvious im lacking the context of the original first installment series.
