Not my usual, but so far, this is pretty fun.

Once again, I'm struggling to finish this one. I think it's Ithan's storyline that is really weighing this book down for me. I just can't care about him. He's annoyingly childish and whiney.

Overall, I'm enjoying the book more on the reread, but the Ithan-heavy 2nd half is dragging.

I'm enjoying my reread because I'm picking up on so much more of the crossover details this time. (It helps that I've read the other series a bazillion times now. 😆 ) SJM has really done some great universe-building.

Kind-of like Ender's Game, but from the perspective of the people being attacked. So far, it's not as funny as Dungeon Crawler Carl, and it hasn't quite grabbed me like that book did. Despite that, I'll give Matt Dinniman the benefit of the doubt and give it a chance.

This book is heartbreaking.

So far, all I can say is: wow, this bitch. Lol...

Tyler is still a dick, but this book is very entertaining. Their bickering is freaking hilarious.

Holy crap, I'd forgotten how heartbreaking the first chapter is!! Maas is such a freaking master at emotional writing. Wow, what a start to a fantastic book. The kid is INVESTED. Lol...

This book is slow, and the main character's racism is hard to take. I'm hoping something other than exposition happens soon.

I'm trying not to be full of feminine rage while reading this, but it's giving me grad school flashbacks!

This book is amazingly heartbreaking and beautiful. I'm loving it! I hope it has a good ending.
