First impression: interesting and trippy. Characters aren’t that well rounded but certain themes and quotes stand out. I love the premise of each hour of the day having its own theme/island. And the names of the characters are intriguing and even humorous. At this point I still don’t get the purpose of the book...there seems to be no “end goal”. But the title...flip it upside down!

Ok just got to the Turkish ambassador and have to admit I started to laugh upon hearing his last name. It’s the exact same last name of the current Turkish ambassador to Kyrgyzstan! I checked it out online and it’s not even one of the more common Turkish surnames so pretty great coincidence seeing as how I taught his kid a few years ago...

So bored with this book. It’s like painful to finish
